2024. 06. 24. New Preprint Alert!

A 3D whole-face movement analysis system to uncover underlying physiology in mice

Work led by Kyle and Irene - We present Cheese3D, a system to sensitively track 3D movement of the entire face in lab mice. We demonstrated the broad utility of Cheese3D with proof-of-principle experiments to detect both subtle and vigorous movements across time scales to infer unseen (internal anatomy and physiological functions) from seen (external synchronized facial motion)

We study how the brain orchestrates motor and physiological control in natural and innate behaviors, focusing on facial movement.

2024. 02. 28. New Preprint Alert! A generic noninvasive neuromotor interface for human-computer interaction

Proud to have been a contributor to this work from when Helen was a visiting research scientist at CTRL-labs at Reality Labs. Exciting possibilities at the interface of muscle physiology, neural networks, and new EMG technologies.
